When Private Communication is enabled, you will receive an email to alert you when buyers respond to your ads. You may respond to the buyer directly from the email, but be advised that your email will be displayed to the buyer. To keep your email address private, respond to inquiries via the My Messages tool in Community Classifieds by following the steps below.

1) Log into Community Classifieds

2) Click on My Messages in the top menu bar

3) Any new messages will be displayed in the list. The buyer’s email address will be displayed in the “message from” column. Click view to read the message.

4) Just below the message, you will see an empty text box where you can type a response. When you have finished your response, click the Send Reply button.

5) After you reply, you are returned to the message list. Incoming messages will stay on the list until you click the delete link. Please note that deleted messages can not be retrieved.
